do you make custom pieces?
yes, i do commissions! i can just about make chainmaille anything. i have made head pieces, face chains, harnesses, tops, boot straps, purses, plant hangers, and once even a dress!
in addition to stainless steel, i can make things in color and brass for gold tone pieces. please note colored materials cost 44% more than steel and brass costs 25% more than steel. steel is the most cost effective and durable material. to inquire about commissioning something special, email us at contact@desiredobjects.com

what is your turnaround time?
desired objects is run by just one person. all of our pieces are made special to order, just for you! every ring is linked by hand and some pieces can take several hours to make. orders typically take between 2 - 4 weeks depending on the piece and current load of orders in the queue. i work as fast as i can to get your pieces to you. if you need your pieces by a certain date for any reason please feel free to reach out and i'll do my best to accommodate.
what is your refund policy?
we do not accept refunds or exchanges at this time. once your order has been shipped it is no longer in our hands. this means we are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. please double check your address at checkout! all orders are shipped standard with tracking with usps and come with up to $100 insurance. if you want to request delivery with signature needed for more security, leave a note at checkout! additionally, if any items arrive damaged or require repairs down the line, they will be replaced free of charge. we only ask that you cover shipping sending it to us, and we will cover shipping back to you!
what are your pieces made of?
we work exclusively with saw cut, surgical grade stainless steel materials. one of the things that sets us apart from other chainmaille brands is our jump rings.
most people use thinner machine cut or pinch cut jump rings. the reason most people us these are because the are more readily available and are significantly cheaper. these rings often appear to be pinched or having a chunk missing. they have rough, inconsistent cuts and are more prone to scratching and snagging.
i custom order thicker saw cut jump rings even though they cost more because to me, the quality is worth it. our saw cut rings are cut precisely and make for near perfect closures. they appear to be seamless, lay nicer on the body, and are less prone to snagging or coming apart. i realize jewelry is a ~luxury~ item and not a necessity and it means so much that you choose support desired objects.
when you invest in a piece with me i want to ensure it lasts. i offer free repairs and adjustments on all my pieces.
